Girl: "You were falling asleep!"
Boy: "But you woke me up."
Girl: "Hey, I offered to let you take up the whole couch to sleep."
Boy: "I'm glad I was awake I enjoyed the afternoon considerably."
Girl: "Same here."
Boy: "But poor timing on our part."
Girl: "?"
Boy: "Having a pleasant afternoon together right before going home for three weeks. But better that than not at all."
Girl: "Yeah, the timing was kind of eh. But it ended the semester well, and we're still talking over break, so it's not that bad."
Boy: "Very true. Can't think of a better way to end the semester than spending time alone with a pretty girl."
Boy: "What are you doing awake right now? Anything in particular?"
Girl: "Talking to you. And listening to music."
Boy: "Hey, that's my line."
Girl: "What is?"
Boy: "The talking to you thing."
Boy: "I had a great time and I can't possibly think of anything that could have made it better."
This is a big deal for the girl. And she doesn't know what to do about it. It's frustrating.
But they're such such pretty pretty words.
